On 16th December, four of our Year 10 pupils took part in the Imagen Schools Business Incubator initiative.

Pupils had been working hard for months creating their own business idea, which they were pitching in the grand final for the chance to win £1000 to help bring this idea to life.

The final took place virtually, rather than in London as originally planned, but the pupils really stepped up to the challenge and didn’t let this change affect their confidence or energy on the day.

After competing against around 55 schools in the early stages of the competition, we were very excited that of the 6 finalists on the day, two of those were groups from Carr Manor Community School. Matthew and Reuben were pitching their ‘Rdynamics’ business proposal and Abdi and Akeel were up with ‘Future Energy’.

On the day of the final pitch, pupils were very calm, composed and professional when delivering their pitches to a panel of four judges.

We were absolutely delighted that ‘Rdynamics’ placed second overall. A massive well done goes to both teams as the pupils put a huge amount of work into their pitches and should be very proud for making it into the final. Imagen’s Co-Founder and COO said she was “Absolutely blown away by these talented young people!”

Thank you to Imagen for the opportunity and well done again to our pupils for their fantastic achievement.
