To honour Remembrance Day, pupils across school took part in a variety of activities focused on why we wear poppies and why it’s important to honour those who died in the line of duty.

Our Reception pupils created their own poppy artwork using potatoes and were also spoken to by Mr Golson, who was in the Royal Navy. He showed them some of the medals he earnt during his time in the Navy, which the pupils really enjoyed seeing.

Two of our Year 10 Cadets spoke to Year 6 about why Remembrance Day is important, what the different cadet forces are and why people might want to join.

The whole school also held a minutes silence on the 11th and discussed why we wear poppies.
