On Friday 12th November, we welcomed Jamie Peacock MBE into school as part of our Peace Campaign.

Pupils in years 7 and 8 designed posters focused on the importance of looking after your wellbeing, such as getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods and prioritising your mental health. Jamie then judged the wellbeing poster competition and selected an overall winner.

During his visit, Jamie was also treated to some healthy snacks made by our Year 11 Food Preparation & Nutrition group, including blueberry muffins, beetroot hummus and granola bars. He then met with our primary school councillors who asked him a range of thought provoking questions, such as what helps you achieve your goals and how did you deal with stress during your rugby career. Jamie also spoke to our Year 10 pupils as part of an assembly on wellbeing and motivation.

Jamie’s visit is centered around our focus on his ‘Be A Champion’ campaign and it was a pleasure welcoming him into school.
