A group of Year 10 and Year 11 pupils took part in the Leeds regional 2022 Ethics Cup on Friday 14th January.
The tournament saw a range of high schools and colleges discussing ethical issues of public concern.
Rather than a debate, the Ethics Cup is a collaborative discussion, where pupils have to display thoughtfulness and insightfulness, rather than just proving the opposing team wrong.
After a long day of discussions, our pupils made it through to the final round where they faced Notre Dame College. They were successful in their discussions, and were named the winners of the Leeds regional 2022 Ethics Cup, with 3 votes to 0 in the final round.
This is a fantastic achievement and means they will now attend the final in St Andrews in May, where they will face other schools and colleges from across the UK.
