On Friday 8th July, the Primary Phase PTA hosted our annual Summer Fair in the primary grounds.

There was a very positive atmosphere during the event and it was fantastic to see so many families and members of the community there – we sold over 700 tickets and the support was very much appreciated.

There were a range of activities and stalls taking place, including an inflatable slide and bouncy castle, a performance from our pupils in the Phoenix Dance Theatre, a visit from the West Yorkshire Fire Service and Community Support Officers, a range of food and drinks stalls, arts and crafts stalls, arcade games such as splat the rat and the infamous ‘soak the teacher’ event.

Our Primary Phase School Councillors ran the soak the teacher stall, which raised a whopping £127.58 and saw poor Mr Langdon soaked from head to foot! Their stall at the summer fete saw the end of the councillors work for this academic year, where they’ve worked to open the outdoor learning centre, organised Flexible Learning clubs, collated pupil voice and interviewed for new teachers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Summer Fete – it was a fantastic afternoon and lovely to see a range of parents/carers, pupils, staff and the local community come together.
