Over the past 6 weeks, a group of Year 9 pupils took on the LEAP Entrepreneur Challenge, working together to create a product and business pitch with the aim of raising money for Yorkshire Children’s Charity.
Over the course of the project they developed their brand – Drip Water – and designed their products. They honed their presentation, filmed their own advert and spent an afternoon selling their water bottles during Meet Your Coach Day. They ended up raising a fantastic £457 for the charity.
After presenting in town on Wednesday, three pupil delegates from the group went to the Yorkshires at the Queen’s Hotel where the winner of the challenge was announced. The pupils were delighted when Carr Manor was announced as the overall winner and accepted the trophy on stage!
Well done to all pupils involved in the project, and congratulations.
