25th February 2021

Dear families,

We hope that you have been keeping well throughout the recent weeks.

As you will be aware, the government have directed schools to re-open to all cohorts from the 8th March. We are looking forward to welcoming pupils back into school and continuing to support their progress and development as well as building on their learning undertaken remotely over the last half term.

The arrangements once returned to school will broadly follow the systems and processes that worked effectively throughout the autumn term.

Primary Phase return
We look forward to welcoming all of our Primary Phase children back to school on Monday 8th March.

We will maintain the same arrangements as before Christmas to keep children safe; for example, working in ‘bubbles’ and maintaining clear procedures around hygiene. We altered drop off and pick up arrangements for the 4th January – these worked well on that day and will be the same arrangements in terms of times for drop off and pick up as well as the different points of entry and exit. Please see the Primary Phase information attached to this letter to refresh on details of those arrangements.

If you require a breakfast club place, please contact the Primary office. If you require an after-school place in Child Seasons, please contact them directly or the school office can provide their details.

As before, we remind you of your responsibility to socially distance on the school site to ensure that we can keep everyone safe. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Secondary Phase return
Secondary age pupils will be offered three lateral flow device tests between 1st March and 8th March ready for a full return for all year groups on Tuesday 9th March. From that date, pupils will then be offered two home testing kits every week. Please note this is not applicable to Primary Phase pupils.

Secondary Phase – face masks
Government guidance is that pupils should wear face masks in classrooms as well as communal/corridor areas, to be reviewed at the end of the spring term. Pupils in Secondary year groups will need to ensure they have a clean, suitable face covering upon arriving at school. Thank you for your support with this. Please ensure your child’s Year Manager is aware if your child has a medical exemption from needing to adhere to wearing a face covering.
