We are very excited to share that we have been awarded Intermediate level of the British Council’s prestigious International School Award in recognition of our work to bring the world into the classroom.
The International School Award celebrates the achievements of schools that do exceptional work in international education, so we are honoured to be recognised for the work we have done here at Carr Manor Community School.
This is in recognition of our work to promote internationalism, including our partnership with a school in Lille and the work we have undertaken as part of this, including their visit to us in October, the work we do with home languages and Language of the Month, our Language Celebration Week and One World Day.
Shannon West, Head of UK Schools for the British Council, said “Carr Manor Community School’s international work has earned the school well-deserved recognition with the British Council International School Award – Intermediate Certificate.
We are proud and delighted to work with this great school. Many thanks to everyone for all their commitment to developing international work and sharing excellent classroom practice and resources.”
