careers education
Our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) is an essential part of the support we offer to pupils.

Effective careers support can help to prepare young people for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life; it can help them to make decisions and manage transitions as learners and workers.
As options for young people become more varied and complex, it is vital that we support pupils to develop the knowledge and skills they need to make informed choices for their future. As a result, our careers programme has a whole-school remit designed to complement the rest of the school curriculum.
For further information on the support we offer pupils with careers, and to see how parents, teachers and employers can access further information about our careers programme, please read the policy linked below.
Just some of the careers opportunities we provide for our pupils include careers aspirations week, specialist talks and pop-up events, links with local employers, Coaching+ sessions on careers, Year 10 work experience, careers fairs, Year 11 mock interviews, and the Year 9 electives.
YEAR 10 WORK EXPERIENCE 2025
All pupils in Year 10 will be undertaking a five-day work experience placement from 27th April to 1st May 2026.
The work experience process is launched and supported through our Personal Development Programme (PDP), which supports pupils as they identify and secure a placement within an industry of their choice.
If you have any questions regarding the work experience process, please email [email protected].

Our careers leader is Mr M Skinner. To contact him, please email [email protected] or phone us on 0113 3368400
