We are incredibly proud of our Class of 2026 pupils and their achievements on GCSE Results Day. There was a fantastic atmosphere across school as pupils arrived to collect their results and celebrate the culmination of years of hard work, dedication and resilience.

The morning was filled with excitement as pupils opened their envelopes alongside friends, family members and staff who have supported them throughout their journey. There were smiles, celebrations and plenty of proud moments as pupils reflected on all they have achieved during their time at Carr Manor.

This year’s results reflect the commitment and determination shown by our pupils throughout their studies:

• 78% of entries were a pass or higher
• 28% of entries were grade 7 or higher
• English pass rate: 75%
• Maths pass rate: 78%
• English grade 7 or higher: 20%
• Maths grade 7 or higher: 35%
• Science pass rate: 76%
• Science grade 7 or higher: 27%

Outstanding performances were seen across the curriculum, including Fine Art (85%), Dance (100%), Health and Social Care (81%), Creative iMedia (84%), Sport Studies (88%), Business (85%), French (97%), and Sociology (81%).

At Carr Manor, we are committed to ensuring every young person is able to flourish both academically and personally. Today’s results are testament both to the hard work of our pupils, and also to the support of families, staff and our wider school community.

Lucie Lakin, Principal, said: “After several years of strong results, placing our school among the top 20% of schools nationally, we are thrilled to announce that our Year 11 pupils of 2026 have achieved results that surpass anything we have seen in previous years.

Across all subjects and at every ability level, our pupils have exceeded their ambitious targets and secured the qualifications that will support their next steps into further education, training and employment. These outstanding achievements are a testament to the strength of the partnership between our school and families, the dedication and commitment of our staff, and, above all, the hard work, determination and resilience of our brilliant pupils.

These results open up a wealth of opportunities for our young people and provide a strong foundation for a bright and successful future. Yet, while we are incredibly proud of their academic achievements, we are equally proud of the young people they have become.

The Class of 2026 have made an invaluable contribution to our school community through volunteering, pupil leadership, charity work and supporting their peers. Their character, integrity, kindness and sense of civic responsibility have been just as impressive as their academic accomplishments.

Today is a day to celebrate everything they have achieved and everything they have contributed to our school. We wish every member of the Class of 2026 the very best as they take their next steps, and we look forward to seeing all that they go on to achieve.

Many pupils were delighted to share their results and reflect on their time at school.

Josh F said: “I’m really happy with my results, I’ve done well enough to go to Notre Dame and study what I want, and so have all my friends. I got a 9 in business, a 9 in maths and a 9-8 in science, and I am going to study maths business and Physics.”

Niku J said: “I’m really happy and surprised, I feel like it’s a big milestone I’ve just achieved after five years in high school. I’m really happy and looking forward to going on to Allerton High to study biology chemistry and maths. I couldn’t be prouder of all the things I’ve done at Carr Manor, and all of the people who have helped me.”

Through our coaching system and relational approach, pupils have developed the character, confidence and skills needed to succeed in whatever path they choose next. We look forward to seeing what the Class of 2026 accomplish in the future.
