17th June 2026

Dear families,

As we move into the final term of this academic year, we would like to thank you for your continued support. The first part of this half-term has been filled with a wide range of exciting opportunities and experiences for our children and young people, both in and out of the classroom.

Highlights have included the recent Friends of Carr Manor Summer Fair, the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition, educational visits to CATCH, our Pre-School Read & Rhyme event, the Year 7 Residential, the annual Carr Manor Dash, Year 10 work experience placements, Year 3’s sleepover, and careers fairs across both phases of the school. These experiences continue to enrich learning, broaden horizons and help our children and young people develop the knowledge, skills and character that will support them throughout their lives.

Many of these events are featured in our Coaching Chronicle At A Glance, which can be accessed via our website and provides a snapshot of the fantastic learning and enrichment opportunities taking place across our community.

Year 6+ Programme: as a through-school, we are uniquely placed to support our Year 6 pupils as they prepare for the transition to the Secondary Phase. During the final four weeks of term, pupils will take part in our Year 6+ programme, following a timetable of Year 7-style lessons while continuing to be supported by their class teachers and coaches. The programme is designed to build confidence, develop independence and ensure a smooth and successful transition into Year 7.

Progress Reports: Progress reports for pupils in Years 6–10 are enclosed. Please take the time to discuss the report with your child, celebrating their achievements while identifying areas for focus and improvement. Written reports for pupils in Reception to Year 6 will be issued at the end of term.

Timetable change: Pupils in Years 7–10 will move up to their new academic year on Tuesday 23rd June. New timetables are enclosed with this letter. Pupils in Years 3–6 who are taught by Secondary Phase specialists will also begin lessons with their new teachers from this date.

GCSE Exams: As the GCSE examination period draws to a close, we would like to congratulate our Year 11 pupils on the determination, resilience and commitment they have demonstrated throughout. We look forward to celebrating their achievements on Results Day on Thursday 20th August.

Year 7/8 Finals: Our Year 7 and 8 pupils have now completed their end-of-year assessments. We are proud of the maturity and positive attitude they have shown. Their reports are enclosed.

Data Collection and Consent Forms: It is important that the information we hold for your child is accurate and up to date. Please check the enclosed Data Collection Form, make any necessary amendments, and complete the accompanying Your Consent document.

In the Primary Phase, completed forms can be returned to Main Reception. In the Secondary Phase, pupils may return them to their coach or to Main Reception. Please return all forms by Friday 26th June.

Please also see a list of key dates on the digital version of this letter.

Thank you for your continued support. We now look forward to an exciting and celebratory final term, with highlights including One World Day, our Sports Days, and Presentation Afternoon, as we recognise and celebrate the many achievements of our children and young people throughout the year.

Yours faithfully,

Lucie Lakin

Principal
